What is NEO Scavenger about?
The main objective of NEO Scavenger is to be alive and survive the battlefield by scavenging for clothes, food, shelter, etc. Sometimes, players might become ill and need to take care of themselves with the right medicines until they become healthy again. Players should try to look for the essentials in ruined towns. However, they must be aware of the enemies around them and escape them at the earliest. The place is filled with looters and raiders. Your fight for survival in the game isn’t only restricted to having food and clothing but also requires fending off attackers and other beasts.
Gameplay
The game features an isometric map, divided into hexagonal tiles. Players get a chance to control one character after the other, in turns, for an hour. During each turn, the playable character has a specific number of moves. With each move, the character becomes thirstier, hungrier, and more exhausted. The player aims to ensure that the character stays fit and survives by any means, despite the exhaustion. If the character dies, it’s the end of the game for the player. The character can suffer from multiple illnesses like dehydration, diarrhea, hypothermia, and malnutrition. If left untreated, the character will die as time will pass by. Therefore, players have to scavenge for medicines while staying alert from enemies.
