What is the game about?
The plot of iX 2 takes up immediately after the conclusion of its predecessor, with Copen intent on discovering the origins of a curious ancient blaster gun he’s lately unearthed. During his study, a wormhole appears, transporting Copen and his crew to a desolate sandy wasteland in another world populated by decaying robots known as Workers. Copen and the crew travel to the Grave Pillar after meeting a Worker named Null. The Grave Pillar is a towering steel building in the desert that reportedly contains the key to restoring life to this weird planet they’ve found themselves in. They can’t travel past the Grave Pillar without engaging in some exciting encounters, so they’re tasked with defeating the tower’s six Gravekeepers to steal their keys and discover what awaits them.

The gameplay builds on Copen’s first campaign in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. Copen possesses a simple three-hit combo that he may utilize to destroy adversaries close to him, but his main strike is a rapid air dash into opponents. If the dash connects, he latches on to the target, and you can then hold the attack control and witness as he unleashes a volley of homing assaults that melt the opponent down. The only major holdouts are the exhilarating boss fights at the end of each stage, which can be easily dispatched using this strategy.
